Improving the environmental balance
In recent years we have continually improved the environmental performance of our plant in Schweinfurt. We successfully implemented various environmental measures as part of planned construction. The sprinkler system in the new production hall is fed with rain water, and we have decisively expanded the sorting and recycling of various production wastes as part of the environmental management program, which is certified according to ISO 14001.
We have also implemented the European Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) guidelines for all our dialysis machines last year. We ensure the environmentally-friendly return and disposal of the machines at the end of their useful life.
Environmentally-friendly design of dialysis machines
Our engineers placed great importance on environmentally-friendly design while developing the new 5008 generation of dialysis machines. The machines not only provide better treatment quality and simpler operation, they also use up to 30 percent less water and electricity.
