Fresenius Medical Care in Ogden, Utah and Reynosa, Mexico
Fresenius Medical Care manufactures products for patients with chronic renal failure at seven high-tech manufacturing plants in the United States and Mexico. The main products are dialysis machines, dialysis solutions, dialyzers, solutions for peritoneal dialysis and bloodlines. A total of several thousand employees work for Fresenius Medical Care at the production sites.
Ogden plant
The largest manufacturing site is in Ogden, Utah, with more than 1,100 employees. The plant develops and produces peritoneal dialysis solutions and dialyzers. These include the Optiflux dialyzer family, a new class of dialyzers with an exceptional clearance performance that do an extremely good job of removing toxic substances from the blood during dialysis treatment. The Ogden facility has been highly acclaimed by the state of Utah for its leadership in environmental control management.
Reynosa plant
Fresenius Medical Care North America's second-largest manufacturing site is in Reynosa; Mexico, close to the Texas border. The employees specialize in the production of sterile bloodlines and bags used in the treatment of patients with chronic renal failure. Like the Ogden plant, the Reynosa production site is also well-known amongst experts for its high-quality product manufacturing.
